Seems like Google Wave might be the catalyst for a new round of tightly-integrated project management tools. I love the idea of possibly setting up a Work Breakdown Structure with milestones that automatically suggest nearby dates for all the team members involved and deliverables that are tracked in a 'wave' and developed in this kind of an environment.

[...] Did You Get the Status Report? - Project Management Tools and Communication Capabilities 22.05.2009 | Posted in Computer World One of the key elements (perhaps arguably the key element) of effective project management is proactive and compendious (my little word of the day ) communication with all stakeholders involved.  I have been in many situations where I was in charge of multiple streams of work for multiple clients and initiatives.  Keeping things straight in a high intensity environment with multiple klaxons going off makes it difficult to keep issues and stakeholders lined up to be resolved or simply informed Follow this link: Did You Get the Status Report? - Project Management Tools and Communication Capabilities [...]

I looked more closely at Facebook's Privacy controls of the Profile, and while it allows you to control the things that I was referencing, it doesn't allow you to make your own arbitrary lists of your friends. As a user, I'm tied to Facebook's stratifications (ie. Friends, Friends of Friends, Everyone, and Facebook Networks). I think there's an even larger degree of freedom and control that could be explored.

It's my understanding that Facebook does allow for different lists ("strata") of friends, and to control the access between each. On Facebook, I have chopped up my friends list into a typical grouping: grade school, high school, college, and individual companies where I've worked. I do find myself using my LinkedIn profile differently. Though I'm on LinkedIn far less than Facebook, I use LinkedIn for maintaining professional contacts whereas on Facebook, I'm more "personal" (i.e. I'll talk about non-work things).
